Jamadagni was a Great Rishi. He lived a pious life with his wife Renuka. One day Renuka and the rishi were making a shivalinga from clay.
Just as they were giving in the finishing touches, Renuka’s concentration was distracted by the sound of hooves. The shadow of the Kshatriya king who rode that way fell on the shivalinga.
Rishi Jamadagni who noticed the loss of concentration of his wife was enraged. He called his eldest son.
“Your mother must be killed now,” the rishi ordered. But Jamadagni’s son refused to kill her.
The rishi then called his second son. The second son wanted to know why he should kill an innocent woman who was also his mother.
Jamadagni then called his third son. “Cut off your mother’s head now,” he ordered. The third son was Parashurama. Without a word Parashurama beheaded his mother. Jamadagni was pleased. ‘Ask for two boons and it shall be yours. I am pleased with you,” said the rishi to Parashurama.
“Father”, said Parashurama, “bring mother back to life. I know not why you wanted her beheaded but let her not remember what caused her death.”
Jamadagni granted his son’s wishes. Renuka was brought back to life.
In later years Parashurama came to be known for both his valour and anger. He lost out in a battle of strength to Rama. He handed over his weapons to Rama and renounced the world.

Great story to tell us about love inside Rishi family. The son obey what his father other but still he success bring his mother back to life and forget all her mistake.In my idea i think it teach us to obey our parent but not like in the God way, we have to devoted ourself to be the best children for our parent.
In this story show that person always have mistake in their life. they need other people give time to correct mistake and walk in good way.we should make ourself to be a good child, good person for family and a world too.

He is a good son in family. He can keep his mother life without making a mistake with his father. He can find a good way to keep his parents happiness. He do not disagree with his father, but he can keep his mother's life.

the story shows about the devoted sons, all three sons are devoted to their parents, but in different ways. The first and the second son are reasonable person,they refuse to kill his mother by asking why....they have to kill mother..? and the third son just listens to his father and does as his father orders. but at the end he ask his father to bring his mother back to life. In my idea, "love means you never have to say you are sorry" So, in the name of husband should forgive his wife for her mistake. And in the name of sons should love and obey parents, but we have to consider and think about what they order us to do as well. For example: If the things they order us to do are illegal we should not obey them and try to explain or ask for more reason.

It is the good story that give good advice to us as below. First, being human should be patient because every one is not always right. So, when we see the mistake should find out causes and solve the problem. Other, it is good to be good son who follows parents. However, if son always follows parents even know that it is not resonable or not correct. As result, he can regret next time. So, son should give suggestion and ask for reason when you think it is not correct.
Life has value than all every thing, so we mustn’t to regard to take danger to someone. Before we do some thing we must to judge clearly better we through someone to wrong way.

This short story is so wonderful. It describes the inside of the family regarding respect and love. It reflects the reality in the society that although Rishi is the wife, she was intended to be killed by his husband whereas their sons are willing to save their mother's life with love and without any hesitation. This proves love and gratitude.
