After several years, the boss promoted Jing to sales executive but Chuan remained a sales rep. One day Chuan could not take it anymore, tender resignation to the boss and complained the boss did not value hard working staff, but only promoted those who flattered him.
The boss knew that Chuan worked very hard for the years, but in order to help Chuan realize the difference between him and Jing, the boss asked Chuan to do the following. Go and find out anyone selling water melon in the market? Chuan returned and said yes. The boss asked how much per kg? Chuan went back to the market to ask and returned to inform boss the $12 per kg.
Boss told Chuan, I will ask Jing the same question? Jing went, returned and said, boss, only one person selling water melon. $12 per kg, $100 for 10 kg, he has inventory of 340 melons. On the table 58 melons, every melon weighs about 15 kg, bought from the South two days ago, they are fresh and red, good quality.
Chuan was very impressed and realized the difference between himself and Jing. He decided not to resign but to learn from Jing.
My dear friends, a more successful person is more observant, think more and understand in depth. For the same matter, a more successful person sees several years ahead, while you see only tomorrow. The difference between a year and a day is 365 times, how could you win?

Of course, It is very crucial to learn from other people around us thank to they are a pattern making us be able to learn a good point from them. On the other hand, to be a successful person, we should try to observe and follow a good example of great person. What's more, if we want to become a good staff, we ought to try all the best and effort in work, and try to injure all the problems that lay a head, instead we must find the solution to solve it, and we must stick on the proverb goes that,"where there a will, there a way".
Failure is the experience. we have to try to work hard and learn from people who succeed. we should not be unexpected when we do not get what we. we should have to compare why is that thing happen to those people, try to do and improve it.
In this story, I can learn that everyone has opportunity to promote a good position in his or her workplace, but if you want to get high position, you not only try hard but also how smart you are in your work. So, if you get lose, you should learn from someone who gets successful.
A slight difference creates differences. They are not the same. Generally speaking, we should be careful with small thing as do with the big one. The small thing have its important. For the same thing, people may translate it in many different ways. Some people may see what it is, but they don’t see what it will be. A different perspective can and can’t make one thing to be continue. For those who see what it is, they finish their sentence limit their potential; while people saying what it will be will keep thing in progress. These differences produce different result.
It is very meaningful theme of the story. It mentions the different between two people. One who flattered boss, but another one who worked hard without using intelligent mind. The story provide me how to know my weakness and strength ,and how to evaluate myself in order to compare others. Otherwise, if i want to be a successful person, I first learn before I earn.
'Learn, earn.' It is meaningful for me. I think if we aim at doing something to be successful, we have to learn more from other people as much as possible. For example, if you want to be a powerful people you have to participate in seminar or a formal meeting in order to learn from the best speaker. One more thing, you have be smart every minute.
